This spectacular stove's special feature is a glass fire compartment door, which extends up its entire height, so that the fire can spread its cosy, flickering light across the sauna. This stove has exceptionally small minimum safety distances.
Double mantle construction
Kastor's new wood burning sauna stoves boast an innovative double mantle structure, in which air flows between the inner and the outer mantle. The inner mantle collects heat and leaves the outer mantle cooler.
Although the outer mantle will of course heat up as the sauna's temperature rises, it will not turn as scaldingly hot as the parts tasked with heating the stones.
Air circulation system
The sauna stove has air channels, which convey heat into the stone compartment during heating, so that the stove will achieve operating temperature with just one load of wood. Once the fire goes out, the system guides the air flow away from the stone compartment into the stove's edge channels and from there into the sauna. This way, the stone compartment retains its heat for longer and you can enjoy the sauna even when the fire has gone out. The burning process is used until the end, which saves the stove and wood without lessening the steam output.
